The members of Kolkata Nivedita Shakti & Kolkata Nivedita Shakti Charitable Trust work as a team to provide scientific tools for girls & women to build self reliant India on the basis of educational facilities, health services & various entrepreneurship trainings but as the numbers are huge in West Bengal, we are unable to provide facilities to all at the same time. We need lady volunteers to join us.

National Science Day
Every year Kolkata Nivedita Shakti celebrates National Science Day with the given theme by the government of India on and around 28th February.
International Women's Day
On 8th march we celebrate the achievement of women on science & scientific field at any scientific institution within kolkata through seminars & cultural programms by women.
Shakti Sthapna Divwas
Shakti started on 22nd March 2003 at Kochi, Kerala. On this day we felicitate one scientist by Shakti Prerana Samman & give i- Shakti Purashkar to a meritorious girl.
Annual Day
Kolkata Nivedita Shakti started their journey on 12th June 2011. To remember this day we celebrate annual day.

The aim of this movement is to produce empowered, developed, independent and conscious youth. Execution plan includes a 7 days workshop.
Survey & Research
Over a period of 2/3 days workshops we conduct survey & research on various aspect of science & women scientists to help in policy
Adoption & Development
Within West Bengal we try take small villages for development of women & girls we would be done accordingly through project executions.
Science Club for Girls
Outside school this is the only science club for girls of 7 to 17 years. Through science & scientific intervention we try to make them all rounder & confident citizen of India.

A DECADE OF SHAKTI (2003-2013)
- Over time Shakti has tried to increase women’s participation in the field of science & technology with the idea of empowering women.
- In
past tenyears seven units of SHAKTI has been established in different states of India. - With the execution of several successful and dynamic
projects Shakti has made a position amidst many departments of Central government organizations like DST, UGC, SEEDand Department of Women & Child Development along with state government departments. Shakti is also coordinating with variousNon-Government Organizations. - The publication of bi-annual bulletin PRAMĀ by the Kolkata unit is another endeavor through which Shakti can reach out to people.
